Yiasou Greek Festival

The Yiasou Festival first began in 1978. It is one of Charlotte’s largest cultural events. This festival includes Hellenic exhibits, entertainment, shopping, art, and authentic Greek food.

Your group will feel as though they are Greek themselves as they learn about the Greek culture and way of life.

For more learning purposes, your group can attend the many lectures given on a variety of Greek topics or explore the cultural exhibits that feature many artifacts dating back to 500 BC.

This festival also includes a Living History reenactment. The people that are part of this are dedicated to keeping the memories of Greek Warriors alive. Those who perform the reenactments have performed many places, includingthe History Channel, Discovery Channel, Spike TV, and others. You will be able to meet these people, ask them questions, and even get a picture with them if you would like.

For groups that include children, the Yiasou Festival has a Play Land. This fair-like atmosphere includes games, many friendly rides, and of course, treats such as popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones.

The Yiasou Greek Festival is a fun and educational experience for any group. Let us make this trip possible for you and your group.
